Tuomas Ylä-Kauttu is a curious innovator with a large dose of Nordic grit hailing from Finland. He has a multidisciplinary background combining business, design and technology and has gained experience in several industries including management consulting, advertising, software and startups. He is a great believer in science and new technologies, big fan of culture in all forms and finds inspiration from inventors, entrepreneurs and scientists throughout the ages. His life goal is to find solutions that make a sustainable and positive impact for the larger global community and advances us as a human race in the long-term.
Tuomas is currently focusing on UN’s SDG 3 by keeping people healthy via an AI doctor platform called Etsimo Healthcare. Etsimo's mission is to help everyone to stay healthy, sustain a high quality of life and prevent irreversible chronic conditions. As director of growth and partnerships, he is responsible for global sales, business development, CMO responsibilities, fundraising and investor relations. Other SDGs that Tuomas likes to focus on are 4, 12 and 13 which he works towards via several volunteering engagements. Few of the main projects have been building and growing the World Economic Forum Global Shapers community in the Nordics, advising purpose-driven startups in their growth, helping to discover Nordic talent to MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35 and co-founding Millennial Board community.
