Kathy Minnis is Director of Product Strategy for Modern Workplace Verticals at Microsoft. She helps shape Microsoft’s vision and product innovation roadmap for addressing the need for modern collaboration tools in healthcare and other specialized industries. She has played a key role in the expansion of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams with capabilities to serve the needs of care providers, helping digitize clinical workflows, and empowering digital transformation in the Healthcare space.
Prior to her current role, Kathy was part of Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence & Research group, where she was involved in innovation planning and product design for Microsoft’s search business and AI user experience, as well as driving a cross-company effort to develop ethical design principles for AI products.
Before shifting to the technology sector, Kathy was an Emmy-award winning journalist and independent television/documentary producer passionate about empathetic storytelling. She brings that passion to product development at Microsoft helping drive empathy in product design, putting the customer at the center of product strategy.
