Prof. Francisco Lupiáñez-Villanueva. His research field is concerned with the social, economic, cultural and policy issues associated with information and communication technologies, but his particular focus rests on Innovative Technologies, Networked Citizens, eInclusion and Digital health. From 2010 until 2012 he was a Scientific and Project Officer at Information Society Unit -European Commission, DG JRC Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) to work on economic evaluation and modelling of Personal Health Systems. He is a top-level expert of quantitative and qualitative methods, including cross case studies, multivariate statistical analysis and survey research and has a long experience in processing and analysing large dataset with state of the art techniques. . Next to his position as the Director and Co-founder of Open Evidence, Francisco is also Professor at Open University of Catalonia and Director of the UOC-BSA Chair in Health, Big data and Data Analuytics. Francisco has authored a broad range of scientific papers in the area of Digital Health Care, and has a long standing experience in successfully delivering European projects in this area, including the last four eHeatlh benchmakings conducted by the European Commission.
