.With her start-up featured as one of Ireland’s most promising start-ups; Aimée Madden has been described among the greatest entrepreneurial talent in Europe. She founded her innovative health tech company in 2015. Since then Aimée has won various high profile entrepreneur and innovation awards, secured significant investment and has grown her business to have offices in Ireland, the U.K, Canada and the U.S.A. Both her and her company CliniShift’s vision is to ‘revitalise the healthcare industry’ through her SAAS platform which enables hospitals to update and improve inefficient manual processes for staff scheduling. Aimée identified a gap in the market and explains that: CliniShift is unique as it’s a bespoke software tool aimed at the specific niche of clinical staff for hospitals and healthcare facilities. In her previous role as CEO at Whitfield Clinic from 2009-2011, a private hospital in Co. Waterford, she experienced firsthand the frequent requests for extra work shifts to be covered at very short notice. Prior to taking the CEO position, Aimée was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the hospital.Over the following three years (2011-2015) she developed her vision and built up more experience in the healthcare industry in her role as Managing Director of the Ireland & UK office of Dutch IT healthcare company. CliniShift won the top prize at Digital DNA upstart 2018 in Belfast. In June, Aimée successfully pitched and convinced the PwC Innovation award panel of four that CliniShift represented the strongest potential for global expansion and return on investment where she added that award to CliniShift’s collection. Aimée has embarked on her PhD in Trinity College where she was recently awarded the no 1 scholarship place to carry out her research Doctorate in the area of the impact of Technology in improving efficiencies and patient outcomes in Healthcare.
