The number of health apps on the market, estimated at 325 000 in 2017, continues to grow, with evidence of these tools playing a positive role in both patient outcomes and the costs of care. But how many of these apps are being used every day? Real impact can only happen if innovators also design strategies for users' sustained engagement. An in-depth understanding of people, their conditions, their motivations, their environments and their everyday challenges is critical to successfully design for long-term behaviour change. What is the best way to engage end-users from 0-99? How do we adapt solution design for every age and stage? With a special focus on gamification (or is it healthification of games?) this dynamic Health 2.0 showcase features solutions with proven track records of sustained engagement and gathers international experts to discuss the key ingredients for effective behaviour change.
