Helsinki, 6 June, 2019 – Elsevier, the information analytics business specializing in science and health, and HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), are proud to recognise organisations for outstanding achievement and innovation in the implementation and usage of health information and technology that truly improves patient care and safety, via the HIMSS-Elsevier Digital Healthcare Awards.
The awards will be announced at the HIMSS & Health 2.0 European Conference on 11-13 June 2019 in Helsinki, Finland. The awards recognise projects from across Europe that harness the application of information within a healthcare setting, thus setting a new standard for patient management and care.

The HIMSS-Elsevier Awards are being hosted in Europe for the third time and have previously been celebrated in the Asia Pacific region for over six years, in the Middle East region for four and in Brazil and the Latin American region for the first time earlier this year as well. It reflects Elsevier’s on-going global commitment to supporting healthcare providers to continually evolve and to meet the needs of a changing population. All the shortlisted projects use robust data and insight to streamline systems, and make better use of healthcare practitioner skills in order to better manage patients and improve clinical outcomes.
The winners for both categories will be announced on 12 June during an awards ceremony on the main stage, followed by an exclusive networking dinner at the HIMSS & Health 2.0 European Conference in Helsinki, Finland.
