The HIMSS Interoperability Showcase highlights organizations’ cooperation to further interoperability, and improve health outcomes around the world. It’s is to demonstrate the power of standards-based interoperability by showcasing systems exchanging and using data in real time to improve care, outcomes and experience. The Showcase tells stories that provide attendees clinical context to understand how these technologies work together and the large impact that can make on health and outcomes.
At this conference, we will being telling the story of a 58 year old man, Albert Hon, who is seeking care for his heart condition. Attendees will witness how his care is supported through his transition from the hospital to home, and communicated back to his care team as he recovers at home. This clinical context will help attendees understand how these technologies work together, and the large impact that interoperable exchange can make on health and outcomes.
The Nordic Interoperability Project will walk you through a patient’s journey, following Alva, the avatar, who has diabetes and all her personalised patient data available whenever, wherever needed in the Nordic countries. The demonstration brings together stakeholders from industry, government, public healthcare, and patients across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In addition to showcasing the Nordic countries one by one, the last stop of the journey will be about the secondary use of data. Learn about technical solutions and the barriers hindering “cross border patient mobility” today!
